This is part of an ongoing series of alarmed faces. The faces are lino prints on vintage accounting papers which express various human emotions. I have been adding to this series sporadically over several years with no clear end point in sight.
We Shine Portsmouth Festival
I redrew several of the faces digitally, so I could create a short animation called ‘The Community Collective’ which was screened as part of We Shine Portsmouth a three-day festival of lights in the City. Each night from 5pm, the showreel was projected onto the side of a 200ft building at the end of Commerical Road, Portsmouth. The animation was about celebrating the individual and varied voices within a community.
My work in animation was created through a Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England

‘Current Mood’ was selected as part of the Pink & Black Showcase in Pressing Matters Magazine No.25 (Jan 2024). For each issue, there is an open call for print submissions, based on defined colour combinations.
